Livestrong LS9.9T Treadmill Review

Livestrong LS9.9T Treadmill

Built by Johnston Health Technology, the Livestrong LS9.9T treadmill bears the namesake of cyclist Lance Armstrong's non-profit cancer research foundation. A percentage of profits from its sale goes directly to The Lance Armstrong Foundation. The Livestrong LS9.9T was rated a “Best Buy” runner-up by the Treadmill Doctor in 2009 and is a step above Livestrong's entry-level treadmill, the Livestrong LS7.9T. It includes a great warranty, a must have with any treadmill, providing lifetime coverage on the motor and frame, 3 year coverage on parts, and one-year of in-home labor.

What earned the Livestrong LS9.9T “Best Buy” runner-up recognition? Well, for starters this treadmill features a 2.75 HP motor. This powerful motor offers great performance and meets the training requirements of nearly any runner. It features a 20 by 55 inch deck, a max speed of 12 mph, incline range from 0-12 percent, and can support up to 325 lbs. This makes the LS9.9T a pretty heavy-duty treadmill ideal for both the novice and expert alike.

The design of the LS9.9T's console is simple and functional. It is intuitive to use featuring easy to read large displays, cup-holders, a cooling fan, and grip activated heart monitor. Speed and incline controls are located on the bottom of the console and on the handrails for easy use. The Livestrong LS9.9T sports an attractive design and folds up for easy storage.

The LS9.9T comes with 12 preprogrammed training routines and features the Livetrack Fitness Journal; a great way to follow your progress. With the Livetrack Fitness Journal, you can track your last five workouts or compare your most recent with your personal best. Staying motivated to get in shape is easier when you can listen to your favorite music. The LS9.9T makes this easy with its built-in speakers and iPod/MP3 player compatible audio port. If you would rather read while burning calories, the 9.9T also has convenient reading racks for your favorite magazine or book.

Is this treadmill right for you? The first step to answering this question is assessing your own needs. For the majority of people, the Livestrong LS9.9T will do great. It is a solid treadmill that is a step above an entry-level machine and is comparable in quality to many higher-end and more expensive treadmills. If you are looking for a lot of bang for your buck, the LS9.9T is definitely worth checking out.

The warranty package on the LS9.9T alone is almost enough to sell it. You get lifetime coverage on the most heavily used and most likely to fail part, the motor. The LS9.9T includes features like built-in speakers, iPod/MP3 player compatibility, and cooling fans to help keep you motivated to lose weight and stay in shape. It features a powerful motor and a large deck surface that will accommodate nearly every runner. In addition to its 2009 “Best Buy” runner-up recognition by Treadmill Doctor, the LS9.9T has received mostly positive reviews by users. Don't forget one of the best parts about buying a Livestrong treadmill is benefiting cancer research; a truly worthy cause.

#1 Top Buy - Love it !Jenny 2012-01-05 04:51
Great treadmill with a lot of features, love to be able to catalog my sessions. Only had mine since November but it's getting a lot of use.

Also worth mentioning that the speakers are one of the best I've heard on a treadmill, comparing it to other brands.

Would recommend any day.
