Reebok 5.2 Treadmill Review

Reebok 5.2 Treadmill

The Reebok T5.2 Treadmill is one of the newest releases from Reebok's Performance Series of treadmills. Just like its predecessors, the new T5.2 combines great structural quality while continuing to innovate and improve on design and function. This latest offering claims for an all around treadmill experience that will cater to both beginners and experts alike. Whether training for a long distance marathon or simply maintaining an exercise routine, the T5.2 looks to be worth considering in terms of keeping users motivated.

Some important concerns by users when looking for treadmills are usually space, storage and weight capacity. Reebok tries to address these issue by making the T5.2 fold-able and easier to store. With its 140 x 86 x 167 CM folded dimensions, users can decide whether or not to dedicate floorspace or simply allow for folded storage in the home.

As for issues on weight capacity, Reebok's new offering boasts a 2.25 horse power motor that can handle a maximum load of 150kg (330 lbs). Top that all off with transport rollers, and the T5.2 seems not only easier to store but also movable around the house.

The DC motor allows speeds from 0.8km (4.9 miles) to about 16 km/h (9.9 miles/h). This is via an innovative motion control system enabling users to control speeds using hand sensors. Along with with over 30 programs and 15 electronic adjustable incline levels; the T5.2 attempts to satisfy any training regime that users may want to take on. In addition, Reebok has also applied their innovative Swing Arm Suspension technology. This feature dampens and muffles the treadmill and aids in burning more calories.

Regarding the electronic console, the T5.2 is again equipped with customizable and programmable storage and profiles. This particular treadmill can store up to 9 user profiles in the memory. This would be especially convenient for different members of the household. As with most treadmills on the market, the multicolor TFT is a touchscreen display that shows time, speed, distance, calories, pulse and incline.

The Heart Rate Control feature (HRC) transmits a signal to the console receiver. This enables the treadmill to automatically adjust its incline and speed, and helps keep users in their target heart zone rate. In addition, the T5.2 has an iPod docking system equipped with speakers. This allows users to listen to their favorite music while exercising.

Finally, the T5.2 comes with 3 years warranty. Generally speaking, this is about the standard warranty coverage for key components. Parts such as the motor, the electronics, the belt, deck and rollers are all covered under this warranty. Its interesting to note however, that Reebok offers a ten-year warranty on the motor itself. This seems to suggest that Reebok has full confidence that the T5.2 motor can withstand the test of time.

So is the Reebok T5.2 worth the purchase? There are certainly more expensive treadmills out on the market now. But those boasts just a bit higher if not comparable specs with the T5.2. When compared to its predecessors, Rebook has definitely made noticeable improvements with the T5.2. The quality and amount of features at this price range also suggests that Rebook did not skim or cut any corners.
